Deborah Ann Combs, age 55, of Dayton departed this life on Tuesday, August 28m 2007. She was the eldest of five children born on December 12, 1951 to the late James and Anna combs in Dayton, Ohio. Deborah was a graduate of Patterson Co-Op High School, class of 1969 and received her Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management in 1975 from Kentucky State University where she completed various courses in education.
Deborah was teacher for Dayton Public School System and managed a full service restaurant for Cassano Pizza, Inc., as well as served as a Corrections Officer for the Twin Valley Psychiatric Hospital Cataldi Center for 15 years and was a Crew Leader for the Department of Commerce Census Bureau.
Deborah was an ardent student of African American Ancestral history and was a loving sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her Father James, Mother Ann, grandmother, Josie Bibbs and a niece, Danielle Holman.
Deborah leaves to cherish her memory sisters; Celestine Holman and Alena Combs; brothers, James (Phyllis) Combs, Jr. and Ronald Combs; nieces, Dyani Holman and Ashley Combs, one nephew Dominic Combs, two great nieces, Ayiana Holman and Valore Addison; Aunt, Mary Jones; Uncle, Lionel Combs; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
