COMBS, Anna B. age 76 was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and departed this life, November 25, 2001. Anna was the only child of Henry Hollis and Josie Hollis-Bibbs. She moved to Dayton when she was a child. She was one of the founding members of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School, Class of 1944 and went on to complete her course work in nursing, retiring from Bethany Lutheran Village after a number of years. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Josie Hollis-Bibbs and her husband, James E. Combs, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory , three daughters, Deborah A. Combs, Celestine L. Holman, Alena Combs, two sons James E. Combs, Jr. (Phyllis) and Ronald D. Combs, two granddaughters, Dyani N. Holoman and Ashley Combs, one great grand daughter Alyana Nasia Holman; Aunt Mary Jones, Cousins, Gaynell Sommerville, Joseph H. (Valarie) Stone, William Jones, Jr., Tony Jones, Marcella Jones, Regina Rinehart, Janet Jones, Sharon Stone; brothers abd sisters-in-law, Lionel (Hilda) Combs, Elizabeth(Eugene) Boyce, Evelyn Poore, Mary F. Combs, Charity Lindon, dear sister friend, Helen Price, Betty Daughtery and Lois Hill and a host of relatives and friends, Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 30, 2001 at Mc Lin Funeral Home, 2801 N. Gettysburg Ave. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Rev. Joe Baldwin officiating. Internment Woodland Cemetery.
