
Reynoldo Vonda Poore

Reynoldo Vonda Poore was born in Hazard, Kentucky on February 12, 1953 to Evelyn and Martin Poore. The family moved to Dayton, Ohio that year. He attended Whittier Elementary and graduated from Dunbar High School in the Class of 1971. Reynoldo worked well with his hands and shared his talents with others in the areas of house and car repair. Reynoldo enjoyed his work as a practical nurse and for many years he worked as a cable installer with Time Warner Cable, this job allowed him to travel across the nation installing cable lines in numerous states. He was an avid reader and owned many books. His hobbies included: fishing, woodworking, tinkering with anything mechanical and growing house plants. He was a light hearted, good natured person who joked easily with others. In spite of the years of misdirection in his life Reynoldo opened his heart to the gospel and his faith allowed him to believe that Jesus Christ forgave him of the sins he committed against himself and others. On July 24, 1984, Reynoldo began his transformation and accepted Christ at the Collegiate Heights Church of Christ, in Dayton. He later became a member of North Lawn Church of God in Columbus, Ohio. Reynoldo departed this life on January 15, 1989, while hospitalized in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Poore and second cousin, Vonda Arnett. He leaves to mourn his passing a daughter, Devon R. Poore; two sons, Reynoldo Vonda Poore, II and Martin R. Poore; mother of children, Christine Grigsby Poore; beloved mother, Evelyn Poore; six sisters, Edna Howell of Cincinnati, Ohio , Shelia and Clinton Moore of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Ramonia and Rufus Knox, Julia and Ceopha Beach, Joyce and Derek Keith and Rachell Poore all of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Craig and Jacqui Poore of Sacramento, California and Anthony Poore of Dayton, god-sister Gloria Wilson of Dayton, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Craig M. Howell, Mona Lisa Knox, Laurence Poore, Kiesha Knox, Laura Poore, Daymon Beach, Jonathan Beach, Shayla Moore, James Beach, Jennifer Moore; special cousins, Georgia Mae and Billy Arnett, and a special friend, Patricia Stevenson.
